Stalking a concept

I'm in Amsterdam stalking a development site. A raw shell, gutted, rough and ready with jackhammered walls and neon surveyor's marks ... and I love it. I've included the computer generated renderings of the proposed apartment but is it wrong of me to love the romance of the raw and turn my back on the slick and chic of the new? (OK, OK I'd like a better mattress and perhaps a bathroom and kitchen but don't dismiss my daydream out of hand.) You can see more here. Via DSTRCT.

Stalking a live work loft in Amsterdam

I've always fantasized about living in any number of my favourite shops. Just curl up in the display bed after the door have closed for the day. Could you? Would you? Very public during business hours but a wall of vintage windows can be closed off to provide security if not privacy when needed. 230 sqm of bright, white and light loft for sale here.

Stalking on a Saturday

In Amsterdam no less. I'm stalking a stunning, zen-like apartment with roof terrace. Restrained yet luxurious, it is part of a redevelopment by the Collective Studio, a collaboration of developers, designers, artists and brokers. You can see more here including pictures of the space at night. (Thanks for the tip off Dave!)

Boardroom beauty

Too many meetings today! My head is in a spin. Just wish that just one of the boardrooms or offices I sat in today was as fabulous as this one by Studio Slow.

A house by Hoyt

From the exterior it is almost austere. Simple lines, almost like a child's drawing of a house. Nothing extraneous. Inside, though, the simple clean lines of concrete, steel and glass are softened by layers of wood and textiles. What seems disciplined, almost spartan on the outside is a warm family home inside. House I in Amsterdam North by Hoyt
