Let's do lunch

Yes? Somewhere with great food and atmosphere? Lots of people to gawk at. Lots of design ideas to steal from the restaurant fitout. Cool! I'll meet you at Usine in Stockholm, a restaurant concept by designer Richard Lindvall. A choice of bistro, cafe and bar areas all with a Scandi minimal meets industrial vibe. Concrete, steel, leather, wood and tiles are on the menu. Delicious.

Love!

It's not often that a passage way gets my design senses tingling but I'm loving everything about this one. Often overlooked as purely utilitarian, this glorious light filled space celebrates the journey rather than scurrying towards the destination. See more of the Concrete House 1 by Auhaus Architecture on their website. I'll wait for you here.

Concrete and wood

Concrete, wood, brick, floor to ceiling windows....sounds like the making of a sweet apartment I would say. This space by Brazilian architecture firm Play Arquitetura (the folks that brought you the cat apartment) just needs a few rugs to warm up the space and a few more accessories and it is pretty much on point.

A family oasis

This bright and airy extension to a California bungalow by Melbourne-based BG Architecture is all about flexible open plan living and a seamless transition between inside and out. Favourite bits? The generous daybed by the expansive window (which you just know will hide great storage) and the simple, modern lines of the kitchen warmed by wood and the terracotta lights. These stylish family quarters are the perfect relaxed oasis from the bustle of the outside world.
