Masculine chic is what Anthony George is calling this bedroom, and again I will take his word for it although I think I'd beg to differ. Perhaps it is because of the black and white colour palette. Everyone needs a little glamour in their homes. In this case it's some crystal, marble and mirror in a kitchen and marble, crystal and gold in a stairwell. Thoughtful luxury as London-based designer Oliver Burns calls it.

Is it too early in the week to indulge in a virtual getaway? No I didn't think so. OK drink in all these photos, close your eyes and daydream at your desk. La Granja Ibiza was once a private residence but now a small hotel with only 5 rooms and a separate guesthouse. Dark and moody, imperfect and beautiful, an oasis from the hot sun and even hotter night life of this party island. There's even a biodynamic farm. Perfection.
Sometimes a spectacular view can all but overwhelm any attempt to decorate a room. Either the room pales in comparison or the view and the room fight each other to the death. Definitely not the case in this harbourside home in Sydney by EB Interiors. A palette of moody blues, an emphasis on strong contemporary lines and bespoke joinery provide the stage for the subtle textures and pops of colour from soft furnishings and wallpaper.
