Last week I shared the work of San Francisco based interior designer Jeff Schlarb. You didn't I was going to stop with just one house? Of course not. He calls it Rad Elegance. I call it mid century modern meets restrained glam. Fabulous!

I much as I'd love to reproduce this amazing bed canopy by interior designer Emmanuelle Simon I don't think I would have the talent or patience. It's a striking centrepiece for this zen-like bedroom. That is until you look up and see the cloud of floating drapes above or across the room to another of Simon's creations, the Rakù-Yaki Cabinet. Whereas the bed canopy is earthy and grounding the ceramic encased cabinet is a hidden treasure, opening to reveal its golden (brass) centre. Bedroom as sculpture. Bedroom as theatre. Bedroom as dream space for dreaming.
Karen Knox of Making Spaces makes amazing spaces accessible to those who crave real designs for real life. Making a home look like a million bucks without spending anywhere near a million bucks. Now let me talk about this first bedroom for a moment. It is a guest bedroom! Why would you make a guest bedroom look this freaking fabulous? Your guests will never leave!! I adore every bit of this, especially that Little Greene wallpaper. And I adore it even more now that I have found some before photos.
One more from Sydney-based Decus Interiors because ... well I just can't get enough of their intelligent, curated, simply beautiful homes. Killcare House is a dramatic home away from home on the edge of a national park by the sea. What more could you want?
