Spaces of note by Luigi Rosselli

EPIC BATHROOM!!! I want to stare at this the rest of the day.

This marble is unbelievably beautiful. And with a thin profile it could not be more perfect in this kitchen.

There is nothing fancy about this dining room but the combo of the Thonet chairs, pale yellow walls, and light fixture are simply yummy, and then you look up and BAM!

These chunky stairs. That glass framed wall. The tumbling block tile. YES YES YES.

If I ever decide I want a graphic backsplash, THIS IS IT.

A quiet beauty

Understated elegance and quiet beauty spring to mind when I look at these pictures. The house doesn't scream or shout. It's not brash and brassy. It is the simple luxury of quality whether recently crafted or inherited. Classic, comfortable, timeless. By California-based architectural firm Chambers + Chambers.

Stalking

I'm in Melbourne (Yay Melbourne for the win again!) stalking a family home in Kew. A 4 bedroom family home with pool renovated by a well know Aussie reality TV reno show couple (the bathrooms are a dead giveaway), it recently sold for $2.9 million. Yikes! The real estate market here in Australia is overheated. Still congratulations to them. It's a lovely makeover. Link here while it lasts.

P.S. Don't you hate early evening photos high on HDR? This place would photograph so well in "natural" light.

When stalking makes you jealous

By now you'll know that I have a thing for old houses. Give me a home with a little history and character over a modern build any day. It seems obvious that I would like this little cottage in Sydney's inner east and yes it does tick the boxes for me but ... I'm having trouble concentating on the house at all. I've been bewitched by the art collection. OMG! What I wouldn't do to get my grubby, greedy mits on those glorious canvases. The house could be a hovel and I'd still want to move in. Can I buy the collection instead of the house do you think? Link here while it lasts.
