Saturday plans

It's summer in my part of the world and I can think of no better way to spend my Saturday than pottering around in my garden after I have finished the morning's paper. Perhaps a dip in the pool to cool off as the temperature rises. Later in the afternoon it will be time to crank up the BBQ to feed the friends whose children are dive bombing the pool. If there is a nip in the air after the sun sets there is always the fire pit. It's a perfect Saturday ... except my backyard looks nothing like this one by Landart Landscapes. Together Apart

My sister and I shared a bedroom for many years as children. There would have been far fewer fights if our parents had divided our room like this. Beds above, desks below and pull out dividing walls. Hang on. There better be another reading cubby on the other wall or it won't end well ;) Together Apart by Melbourne-based Architecture Architecture.

Stucco and brass

The architects own house. Luxury of space and materials. The silky smoothness of stucco, the cool touch of stone and marble, the outrageous beauty of a brass kitchen. It could be a dream but instead it's a dream house. Armadale Residence by Rob Mills Architecture & Interiors.
