Stalking Superman's house

It may be a little Clark Kent at the front but it's all superhero out the back. I'm stalking an 1890s weatherboard cottage in Lilyfield, Sydney with its modern extension by Nobbs Radford Architects. A a great light-filled, fun family home. Link here while it lasts.

Working on a Saturday

Week after week I chant my mantra. If you have to drag yourself into work on a Saturday it helps if it's somewhere stylish. (It also helps if it's the designer's own office space.) Studio 45 in Manly, Sydney is the home of Marston Architects. Two work zones connected by a plywood cube housing the kitchen, all contained within a heritage listed terrace house.

Stalking in Melbourne

You know how I often jest about packing my bags and moving into the houses I virtually stalk? This time I really am booking a flight, knocking on the door and politely, but very firmly, muscling my way in. Designed in 2000 by architect Allan Powell and with gardens by Eckersley Garden Architecture (2014), I'm at a loss for words. I wouldn't change a thing if it was mine accept my address. It's perfect ... well almost. I won't be able to afford it. Listing here while it lasts.

A simple beauty

It's a little bit Scandi and a little bit Shaker. A little bit Arts and Crafts, a little bit country and definitely contemporary. You'd think that it might be a little bit confused but this renovation in Flinders, Victoria by Melbourne-based interior designers Austin Design Associates is stylish, welcoming and quite simply beautiful. (The kitchen is a dream!)
