Award winning SoHo based architectural firm Roger Hirsch Architect produce imaginative, functional balanced work. Designs encompass residential and commercial but I think their spatial solutions for apartment living are their forte. The murphy bed solution in the fourth picture is genius. Bohl Architects

Bohl Architects is a nationally recognized architecture and interior design firm specializing in custom residential design and historic preservation projects. They have some beautiful pictures on their website, some of which are of the loft apartment of Chip Bohl that was featured in the March 2005 issue of Metropolitan Home.

Ledbetter Fullerton Architects

My sister found this firm and told me I HAD to do a post on them. She found so many great photos on their site. Founded by Lee Ledbetter in 1996 and joined by Richard Fullerton in 1997, they have created a nationally recognized firm whose work has been featured in dozens of magazines and won many awards. Here are some of my favourite photos.

Gauer & Marron Studio

Beautymist has some great photos on Flickr from Gauer & Marron Studio, an architecture and design firm with offices in New York and British Columbia. Their style is modern, neutral and simply fabulous.

Colour palette

Sydney architect Scott Weston is well known for his innovative use of colour. His renovation of a Victorian-era terrace is a sea of colour . And what colour! My favourite colour palette at the moment is red and pale blue with accents of black and white.
