Simon Eldon

I need a little pick-me-up as I am quickly developing an end-of-season cold and I am already becoming miserable and whiney (my reward for spending the day with my niece Saturday and wiping her runny nose 180 times before it could land in her mouth. BLEH). Impeccable, star-quality photos from accomplished photographers is just the distraction I need. The following delightful photos are the work of London photographer Simon Eldon.

Reader's home - Nathalie's sanctuary

Nathalie, from France, sent along some photos of her home to share with our readers. She rents the home (located in a small village 50km south of Paris) and decorated on a budget, wanting to create a cozy space inside and out. Myrica Bergqvist

A few days ago you'll remember I featured a bright and colourful apartment styled by Myrica Bergqvist. Today I have a few more shots of this "hundreds and thousands" home from Myrica's website. Love the apartment. Love Myrica's work. It's fun and relaxed, packed with personality and if not quite perfect it's always perfectly lovely. It can be real life and even a little larger than life as in what I'll call the "cat house" and the "pool house" after the jump will show. Come back tomorrow and I'll have even more Swedish fab and funky styling as we take a look inside Myrica's own tiny home.

Some light

This is the first of 2 posts I have for you today. There is such a huge difference in the mood of a space depending on the colour scheme used...whether it be light or dark. This space is all about white and beige. Classic and French-inspired. The perfect space for a bookworm (although it could use some work - some of the furnishings are just plain icky).
