Stalking in Western Australia

I've crossed the whole continent of Australia and ended up in the west. I'm real estate stalking in West Leederville, Perth, Western Australia. An ultra modern and ultra stylish extension to a period cottage. How clever to replace the lost garden space gobbled up by the increased size of the house with a roof terrace. That's where you'd find me of an early evening, taking the the breezes and a glass or two of bubbly.  Link here while it lasts.

Warehouse stalking

A West Vancouver home

I wanted to share another project by Fox Design Studio, this time it is a home located in West Vancouver. This colour palette is similar to the last with the addition of blue, which only totally fitting for a home with ocean views. Full home renovation and redecoration for an empty nester's second home. Sited on a rocky outcropping overlooking the Pacific, this large, east-coast inspired home features ocean inspired tones layered with classic luxury patterns and finishes.

A Coquitlam townhome

If this Coquitlam townhome was set up as a model home or if it was a new sale listing, it would be snapped up in an instant. Vancouver's Fox Design Studio did an incredible job here. They used the same colour palette of grey and white with black and yellow/gold accents throughout that is cohesive and flows beautifully. The bold punch of orange in the powder room is an unexpected and welcome touch. Midcentury colors, playful furniture pieces, punchy artwork and not-so-shy wall treatments give this detail heavy space a not-so-serious vibe. Think Palm Springs, but in fall-formal wear.

A colourful jigsaw of a shop

Like a giant puzzle box this compact tea shop by Brazilian architect Alan Chu unfolds its colour blocks to reveal its wares. Compact with impact. So clever.
