For 20 years Thomas Bucich Design has been creating stylish, luxe interiors. Juxtaposing classic architectural lines with high end finishes and modern fit out this Australian (although originally a New Yorker) design icon is responsible for a body of work that encompasses some of Sydney's most elegant homes to restaurants and hotels. The attention to detail is meticulous, the design classic, furniture often custom and the cabinetry playing a clever key role. Monday's pets on furniture

If you'd like to send us photos to include in next week's "pets on furniture" post, please ensure your photos follow our basic rules: First, the pet must be on a piece of furniture. And said piece of furniture must be clearly visible in the photo, so it takes center stage rather than your pet. Think of it more of a photo of a great piece of furniture that you want to show off...and your pet happens to be sitting on it. And second, the photo must be of decent quality. If it's dark or fuzzy (from a camera phone) then it may not make the cut. Thanks! This is my little angel Maggot, (goes by "Maggie" for short), she is a two year old Maltese Poodle X. Here she is having an (interrupted) nap in the afternoon light of the master bedroom.

There's Ginger, my fifteen year old kitty, nesting in an afghan knitted by my late grandmother on my sleek and incredibly comfortable white leather sofa. Ginger joined Me'me' (french for grandma) in the great beyond on wednesday. She always was a very stylish girl.

Oops sorry got carried away there. Real estate stalking on a rainy weekend found this Malvern, Melbourne home. Cute as a button on the outside. Sophisticated on the inside. I'd ramp up the bedroom a little more but the bones are good. The mirror over the mantle is a modern take on a traditional piece. Can you spot the 2 TVs in the living areas. Summer and winter viewing? I hope not both at the same time. I'm also wondering if they ran out of money for window treatments. Perhaps they like a a simple finish.I'd love to see this house shot sympathetically. A good stylist, a good photographer, a magazine spread? Link here while it lasts.
