This is one of the coolest bachelor pads I've ever seen. I would guess a woman did not live here, otherwise there would be at least one floral pattern and a colour of some sort, somewhere.

Her husband, Ashley Hicks, an architect and designer of interiors, furnishings, and textiles (and son of late decorating icon David Hicks). It's a dynasty in the making. Although not as flamboyant as her father-in-law the influence is definitely there. Check out her website for all it's lovely bohemian eclectic but luxury lifestyle products. The Allegra Hicks lifestyle is easy, stylish, individual, fun and enduring.

Aline Matsika has an incredible talent for adding an ethnic African spin on contemporary and antique furniture. She began with a boutique in Paris and a decade ago opened one in Soho. Her pieces include Louis XVI chairs covered with antique fabric from Zaire and 1930's armchairs covered with Senagalese cotton-and-raffia. Her spaces are thus very unique and so warm and inviting with beautiful patterns and woods. (HGTV's Designstar finalist David used her products in his last room - I LOVED the huge floor lamp!)
