Chair porn

Last weekend I saw a couple to-die-for mid-century modern chairs that I had to leave in the shops because I cannot justify owning more chairs. This has had me thinking about chairs, and I realized it has been far too long since my last chair porn post.

Asfour Guzy Architects is a New York based firm that was founded 20 years ago by partners Edward Asfour and Peter Guzy. Love their versatility. From modern lofts with exposed steel beams to rustic residences far from the city, they do it all.

Jake Curtis encore

Time for an encore. Kim featured Brit photographer Jake Curtis last year but on a recent trip back to his website I found so many more beautiful photographs. Great lighting, clever composition, the fact that he just seems to get the spaces he captures. Love it all.

Purple Area

Susann Larsson is an interior designer from Malmö, Sweden. You'll know her as the creative force behind one of my most favourite blogs Purple Area. (I'm there everyday drinking it all in.) This is Susann's home. Gorgeous! It's quite minimalist, simple and clean but still a wonderfully warm and individual family home. Love that wall of books and yet another example that not all Scandinavian design is white. Oh no it's all grown up grey in this purple area!
