Could you? Would you?

I’m sure it has the wood aficionados screaming at their computer monitors but if you’re going to paint how about stopping half way? And that’s not the only contrast. Super modern, almost space age rooms AND Haussmannian confection. Colombie by Paris-based RF Studio.

The paint job is interesting. While I often like the juxtaposition of modern furniture amid traditional architecture, in this case, it feels so cold. That dining area is like a bad set of a sci-fi movie. The kitchen is so stark. And the bathroom--you couldn't pay me to get in that shower, unless there's a window to the outside.
As an academic exercise, it's interesting, but it's not very livable.
OTOH, that bar! what a fantastic surprise! That I LOVE!

I do love the paint job of the living room, and that amazing bar. After that- hello 2001 Space Odessy! You couldn't pay me....

Yeah, Space Oddessy meets The Shining.

Yeah, well, psychologically it may not work for most people.

However, the detailing is spectacular, the dining room mirror even, and appreciate the nod to Kubrick's masterpiece.
Not livable?
Architectually, some building exteriors are actually hostile, the entrance is hard to find, overdesigned, standoffish.

It's a heightened reality, sure, but it's livable, it's got envolvment.
