Quintessentially English
Close your eyes and try to imagine your idea of the quintessentially English country home. Mine has boot rooms and sculleries, flagstones and wood burners, antiques and quirky family treasures. There are bedrooms under the eaves, beams and hopefully a roll top bath. Of course there would be a big kitchen diner with room for a sofa or two and a snug for those chilly nights. The thing is I don't have to close my eyes. I just have to drink in these photos of The Stables by hám interiors. Can't get much more English ... oh maybe a chocolate labrador lying by the fire.

The furnishings are beautiful but those beams steal the show! It's wonderful that they are all exposed. The setup in the kitchen is like a work of art, a sculpture.
