Smooth operator

"Located in Daylesford, the Central Springs house was designed to create a sense of warmth and comfort, often needed in the cool climate setting. A refined palette of white washed timber boards, and polished fresco walls are used to produce a sophisticated take on the traditional country home."

I love the play of smooth and rough as well as the calm of the greige colour palette. (I almost want to rub my hands all over those polished walls.) Central Springs by Adam Kane Architects.

What came first the colour scheme or the dog?

I would love a living room like that... the desaturated white walls, the fireplace, the rustic atmosphere... and the dog. Let's not forget about the dog. The dog has to be there.
