More lakeside living

Simple yet stylish with a monochromatic palette warmed by the earthiness of wood and splashes of colour, this lakeside home, again by Andrew Brown, has a more relaxed, holiday home feel than the mid-century treehouse of my previous post. This is a waterside family home, beautiful yet practical, the perfect getaway from the clamour of city life.

Love the simplicity and beauty of this home! When can I move in?

Love this. So peaceful. My only beef is the roman shade in the kitchen. Why are so many kitchen windows with beautiful views cluttered by busy roman shades?!

I agree also, Lucy. Covering the views and those beautiful windows. I really love the dining chairs, but they don't look too conducive to long conversations over dinner. Very nice home!

When the Outside is breathtaking, why decorate inside to combat the beauty outside ? I love this ... serene, light and open . A perfect house. I want one now !
