Office Wild

Or perhaps that should be Office Wilde, Oscar Wilde. It certainly has drama and flair. A touch OTT from its patterned cow hide rug and statement brass desk to the flamboyant Timorous Beasties wallpaper. Just can't see Wilde 's famous last words "Either this wallpaper has to go or I do" being muttered in this room. Taking its inspiration from the Cult of Beauty and the Aesthetic movement "The Pavonia Room” is by San Francisco based Geoffrey De Sousa Interior Design.

Wow, I love everything going on here. It took me a minute to figure out what was going on with the mirrored desk. Is that some kind of fur or animal hide carpet? That part's a bit creepy if it is.

Wow! I need that desk in my life! Or better yet, a chest of drawers that look like this. I actually saw storage units like this from some time of wood in a designer store a few years back. They were made by an Israeli furniture maker, but I can't remember which. They had that exact block of gem look to them and the drawers were seamlessly incorporated, opened by a push mechanism; it was pretty cool.
