A modern farmstead

How sweet is this 1960's California ranch style home complete with pool house?! This home was remodelled and given a modern/vintage/industrial overhaul creating a modern farmstead that is an absolute dream - LOVE the kitchen. By Laura Martin Bovard Interiors.

Nice touches throughout, but those valances in the kitchen are total buzzkill.

HA! I spent a few minutes while getting this post ready looking at those valences trying to figure out WHY. And then realizing how much better it would look if they were gone and the windows and door frames were painted out black.

OMG I thought the same thing! I couldn't bring myself to pin the kitchen because of those valances. :)

I am in love with this project. I read the comments and keep thinking, looking at the amazing design elements that those valances must be covering up something? Electric blinds? That is my guess. They are the last thing I care about when looking at the details throughout this spectacular house! Pinning.....

Oh my god adore this space!!!! The textures, materials are so rich, simple and beautiful. All I ant to do is sit at the kitchen table with family and friends.

Love this!

This project is amazing - from the custom dining table to the gorgeous, subtle window treatments. Personally, I love the way the window valances tie the color and texture palette together. Sublime.

I love the sleek sophistication of this remodel-textures, patterns, and color feel fluid. And love the built in dining area-so inviting to enjoy company and great food!
