A Paris apartment
I adore this simple and eclectic Parisian (Neuilly-sur-Seine) apartment I caught myself drooling over when I paid a visit to The Socialite Family. It is the home of Mary Erlingsen and her two young daughters. As a big fan of photography as art, I love her collection and the graphic edge it lends to the spaces. I am hoping this will push me to find a photo I have taken to blow up and hang over my sofa. I have one I think may be perfect... (Photos: Constance Gennari)

I can spot a Pipistrello lamp and a framed Charlie Hebdo cover. Yep, she's in France and yep, she's awesome! :)
The punch provided by that red sofa really takes it up into the sublime.
This type of interior has no magic to my eyes beyond a few pieces. It's kind of bad art direction to select such flat for your magazine "aura" - curation is everything, raise your standard would be useful fir a part of your readership who requires to be inspired
I apologize for not inspiring you Roman. Interior design is subjective, and doesn't always have to be from the pages of a magazine and perfectly styled. I happen to love this space. We have plenty of other posts that I am sure will be up to your 'standards'.
sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo feminine and Parisian, soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo arty French. I love the fact that you selected a livable place, not something that looked straight from a magazine. The joke about mother's day, athough controversial, really reflects the type of second degree homour, we, French mothers, can have. Thumbs up!
" a part of your readership who requires to be inspired" No kidding, Roman. Let's boycott till all our demands are met. You go first.
Meanwhile, thanks Kim and Jo for another great find, which you do in the little spare time of your very busy days. I LOVE the little girls in the mirror!
I'd be curious as to what does inspire you Roman (genuinely). Perhaps you could send 'Desire to Inspire' an example of this?.
Thank you for this beautiful post. I recently went to a photography exhibit and have been thinking about exhibiting photos in my home - this cements the deal.
Hee hee - I TOO require to be inspired! Also, I require a doughnut and a cup of coffee. Lots of milk and sugar in the coffee. Get right on that, Kim, will you? : )
Thanks for your blog, which I enjoy every day!
Roman, it's a blog. They are not paid to "inspire" you. I bet you would never say this to their face, so don't write it here.
In regards to the photos - I love that bedroom!
That bedroom make me want to sleeping!
