Festen update

Can I please have a moment of silence.....take a deep breath, exhale...and check out the matte black molding detail in the first 3 photos. It is so unbelievably beautiful I want to cry. The other spaces are simple and fantastic too. :) By Paris based design firm Festen (previously featured here).

it is so amazing how different one persons taste is from another's.. I think that room is dreadful. The wood and detail is wonderful but then it is ruined with the dark murkey black colors that just suck the light right out of the space.

I'm normally a fan of dark rooms but for some reason I just don't like this one. The room itself is divine - but it just looks lifeless.
