Stalking reality TV episode 3

One more from the TV show The Block. Michael and Carlene's apartment features warm exposed brick walls, slick kitchen and a generally panned main bathroom, the weak link in an otherwise well resolved space. Link here while it lasts.

P.S. You can find the remaining 2 apartments for sale here and here.

This is probably my favourite out of the five (I'm obsessed with the show, a little too much), but my god I hate that main bathroom - the layout is just ridiculous, don't know what they were thinking! I also don't get the whole obsession with dark bathrooms on the show.. On every series there have been so many dark bathrooms.

That bathroom is atrocious. No wonder it got panned. The white textured herringbone tile is the only decent thing there.

But, not having really watched the show, I hadn't realised just how spectacular the copper wall from Apartment 2 (Chris & Jenna) is! They deserve to win on that feature alone!

I was really enjoying the tour, especially the lighting, until this last bathroom. What in the world - Tripping Hazard, anyone? Seriously who wants to shower at the top of steps without a railing? Its a death trap. Plus the drainage would be an issue...it looks like there is a linear drain at the bottom of the steps right?

Wow, there are some great design solutions in all of the entries for this show. I particularly liked the glass panel over the white marble in the second bathroom. Might seem like overkill but I think it's a great way to keep the marble looking good. I'd like to try it on a marble backsplash behind a stove. Would make clean up a breeze!
Speaking of overkill, what I don't understand - and it may just be my mistake, but - are there 4 ovens in that kitchen? I saw the same feature in one of the other kitchens you featured and I can't imagine who needs that many ovens. What am I missing here?
