Good design, plain and simple. Time for an encore appearance by Melbourne based builder designers Altereco. This Barwon Heads house is open plan with crisp, modern lines, a restrained colour palette and materials. Simple yes. Stylish definitely.

The use of wood as a cladding material seems to be increasingly popular in the UK. Are there any insulation benefits to using this rather than brick as the outside skin of a building?
