This is a test

I don't really know what to do to make this work, as Squarespace has provided me with zero info over the past 6 days, because they apparently don't know what the problem is either. So I'm hoping if I try creating a post in another browser, magic might happen. And if you can see these photos, by Barcelona design firm Beriestain Interiores, then FANTASTIC!

I see them and they're fabulous! Hope the issue is fixed on your end. ;)

Yay! You did it. :)

Good here too! Using Chrome and see it all (what a great post!)

Kim,
yes, we can see the pictures. And I just noticed that Jo's posts were fine all along. So something changed at your end.

The only thing worth mentioning is that the file names of the photos, in the posts that have a problem, is a long series of numbers. Maybe the file names are too long OR maybe they need to start with a letter. In this post, which is fine, they are short and start with a name -

hi there,
i'm not sure if this is going to help solve the problem or just add another piece to the puzzle, but ever since this started i've been able to see all the photos since i read your site in feedly. while i'm not sure if this is helpful, i hope it may be a clue for someone!

Sorry you went through all that trouble..... but looks like you got around the problem.....good job!

We had problems with Jo's posts as well at the beginning of the week (those posts seem to load but take a while in Safari, but load fine in Chrome - in my experience anyway). Nothing changed on my end. It's an issue with Squarespace, somewhere. File names aren't the prob. My post the other day had fairly short names.
Thanks c, if SS folks bother writing me back ever I'll let them know viewing posts via readers were working.

All visible in living color from here (using my usual Firefox). xoxSparky

Yep, I can see them in Safari! No glitches here! Thanks for sharing this.

Sorry, I have Feedly too and I CANNOT see the problematic photos. I see on Feedly (on Firefox) what I see directly from the site.
Maybe C didn't notice that some posts (Jo's) are seen and some not.

The problems that you described with Jo's posts may have nothing to do with the current problem because it was slow but working. It may be misleading as to the causes of the current problem. Coincidences do happen.

I don't know how Squarespace works, but where are the photos stored really ?

If I take the address of the photo - www.desiretoinspire.net/storage/allpostphotos/beriestain02g.jpg
and put it in the URL line - I can see it.
If I try it with - www.desiretoinspire.net/storage/allpostphotos/1239843_700608616620446_1792840977_n.jpg
from a problematic post, it says page not found. I wonder if the file is there or not.
Maybe the problem is in the uploading, maybe in the displaying.

Another thing is that the page displayed is too wide for both FF and IE, so I have to shift it sideways.

How about creating one post that will include one file from each format of file name, see what happens. Or go back to the Exposed copper post and change the file names.
As long as Squarespace don't solve the issue, what other choice do you have ?

Yay! I see them and what a gorgeous post! I need one of those emerald green sofas! The collection of green glass makes me think I might start collecting more glass. As you know, green is not one of my favorite colors, yet the way they use it may be changing my mind. Lovely post.

I see them- and 'fantastic' just about sums it up!

We can see them here on Firefox!

Not only can I see them in glorious colour, but I love them. I want a blue banquette and some of those yellow chairs, and and and..... I wanna be staying in a fabulous hotel in Barca! How stylish! cheers

Oh, how I've missed your posts! I still weep for the x'd-out piccies I cannot see. Meanwhile, I might be slowly growing into an appreciation of the spindle chair. Maybe. Possibly. It's just so stubborn -- no matter how modern or updated the room, put a spindle in and it warps towards cracker barrels and gran's kitchen.

well done! I'm using Dolphin on android and I can see your post.

I can see your post and it is lovely......I'm trying to use square space for myself is it worth it?

16 Mar 2014 | Unregistered CommenterJessie

Yes, working on Firefox here. Great shots!

16 Mar 2014 | Unregistered CommenterBudgie

I can see them in Safari.

Jessie, overall I'd say yes. This is the first time support has been completely useless. There are some annoyances with SS but hopefully alot of that will be better when we finally upgrade to their latest version (which will have to involve a complete blog redesign).

Thanks everyone!
