Monday's pets on furniture

If you'd like to send me photos to include in next week's "pets on furniture" post, please ensure your photos follow my basic rules: First, the pet must be on a piece of furniture. And said piece of furniture must be clearly visible in the photo, so it takes center stage rather than your pet. Think of it more of a photo of a great piece of furniture that you want to show off...and your pet happens to be sitting on it. And second, if the photo is too dark or unfocused then it may not make the cut. Photos, your name, location and a brief description can be sent to desiretoinspirekim@hotmail.com and PLEASE don't send closeups of your pet! Thanks!

A little color to (hopefully) brighten up the winter time. This is Christmas looking out the back yard chairs...and a bonus pic of his handsome mug on the same spot.
- Pam

I thought I would share this photo taken through our double sided fireplace into the living room while it was snowing and -10 degrees over the weekend. Front and center is Tina, our 6-month-old puppy, to the left is Buddy, my mom's mutt, and on the right is Bailey, our 9-year-old "puppy". It's a shame you can't see how sparkling clean our floors are with those three running in and out of the snow all day! PS my husband built the coffee table! :)

- Irene

We have a attached a photo of our cat Ilse peeking from one of her favorite hangouts - the bookshelf in our living room (she's very much an academic).
- Corinna & Ben (Jackson Heights, NY)

My red cat Missô on top of the water filter :p
- Marcia (Marília, São Paulo, Brasil)

Buddy is my parents' bichon frise, and he is now learning to read so he can help entertain the grandkids. He prefers the old-school books that were my mothers' books when she was a child. In the first picture he is smiling because his paw is on the page with a cat!
- Glenda (Vernon, BC)

And a quick one from me - Mimin sitting in a vintage apple basket on top of a bookshelf in my bedroom (she's a climber).

Yay! Christmas says 'Thanks Kim!' (and I do too :) In light of it being award season in Hollywood and such he added 'It is an honor just to be nominated and in to be the company of such grandiosely cute felines and canines. Oh, and a huge thanks to my agent Bob and *me mom* without whom I could not be photographed!'

Is there any chance that Buddy the bichon frise is reading a book called "Whiffy"? And if so, would he mind telling me the author? I've been looking for the book.

I didn't even know there was such a thing as a double-sided fireplace so that blew my mind!

I hate picking out specific animals to "favorite" in these because they're all lovely and adorable so I'll leave it at that! I think my guys would love a vintage apple basket, though!

Stephanie - I think that's a Dick and Jane book (for those of us old enough to remember). My guess is that's Puff that Buddy's got his paw on. If he were to read a bit further, I'm sure he'd run into Spot, the dog. Mom's in the kitchen with her apron on and Dad's at work. :)
LOVE MPoF, Kim! Favourite place to be on a Monday night. Thanks.

Yes Buddy is reading the red primer "Dick and Jane". I am not familiar with "Whiffy". Sorry.
