Holland Park

This home in Holland Park, London, is EXACTLY where I would dream of living if I had the opportunity to go British. The exterior is absolutely breathtaking. This apartment occupies the full ground and lower ground floors of this double fronted Italianate villa. The contemporary decor in neutral colours works so well. And how about that kitchen! I'm not sure I'd want to be cooking at the stove staring at the wall but for some reason I've always been drawn to a layout like this. Love the island lighting strip too. More details here and the agent's page here.

I'll take all things British: Holland Park for my city home and Britquirk for my country home. Suits the two sides of my personality. Both are gorgeous!

Marvelous common rooms. Bring some of that first-floor art and personality up to the master bedroom! The bath could do with some softening, and a privacy panel fo the toilet. Love the topiary trees.

I mean...obviously the bones. But the light fittings are superb too, so many high end london homes have hideous lighting choices.

Also the kids bedrooms are fantastic at being grown up but playful/childish.

I lived in Holland Park when I was little...seriously wonderful place for kids in central london.
