Jen Chu
Jen Chu is from San Francisco currently residing in Brooklyn, and is an Art Director for Project Runway and has even worked on a couple J-Lo videos. I spotted her in the latest issue of Design Bureau mag and checked out her portfolio. I love her interiors as they are, believe it or not, for NORMAL people who do not have unlimited budgets. Her own apartment is super small and she has done an amazing job with it (the first 5 photos below are of her itty bitty bedroom and bathroom). It's great to see how this half lives too. :)

Are the last two pictures in a private house Kim? I love the recycled lath walls, the wood and the whole concept of dispensing with a kitchen: just have coffee in the morning and drinks in the evening, and eat lunch out!
(Maybe am out of touch with the reality of the situation but a girl can dream).
That would be cool in a home - but it's actually the bar of a corporate space. Check out details on Jen's blog here.
Wow, I would love to see more of these down-to-earth homes, with real space or budget limitations. It's a lot more interesting and inspiring, and I believe more relevant to a vast majority of Desire to Inspire followers. When you're working within an exceptionally nice architectural frame, and with a very generous budget it's a whole different ball game, and not necessarily one to aspire to either, in my opinion. Then things become wasteful, pretentious, and unpractical. I think there is more value in making the practical, the sensible, and the relevant beautiful.
Such a clever use of space in her home. I especially love the knitted cushions on her bed, I think I need some just like that to keep me cosy over our snowy Swedish winter!
Real life & possibilities over unattainable fantasy. Always welcome! There's a sense of serenity in all the rooms -- I'd love to come home to that. I'll just have to settle for coming home to the mantle owl - I have that!
beautiful post! LOVE LOVE LOVE the geometric patterns on the walls! So inspiring!

What a small bedroom that first one is, slightly claustrophobic in my opinion.
Savvy solutions! Third photo from last: I absolutely need that slick mounted closet w. mirror... Any idea where I could find one?
She is so smart with space and I love how she used those wall fixtures to display her jewelry!
Fabulous! I love her bedroom and the way she used black in the corners to make it feel like the whole room is encompassed in a four poster bed! I could definitely see myself living in any of her rooms.
Love the studded bookshelves...such a clever idea!
