Stalking steampunk

One part high Victorian, one part industrial, one part art deco and one part modern. Seems I stumbled on a recipe for a steampunk home except I don't think that was exactly what the owner had in mind. Imagine living in an apartment where the living areas were once a two storey ballroom and imagine having that lovely Victorian era room for a kitchen. I love the mix of modern and antique, slick art deco and polished industrial. Lovely to see an old house divided sympathetically into apartments. I just wish the photos were better and we could see more of the intriguing details. You'll find it in Potts Point, Sydney. Link here while it lasts.

it is such a gorgeous place, i contacted the agent and got some more inside info of the detail to share, "just to mention a few of the things that have been done and will stay with the apartment are the large chandelier, one of two in the world, its dated 1920 and it belonged to a famous Parisian Hotel, large china cupboard from Provence dating back to 1780, bench at the side table from Spanish circus dating back to 1720, all the lamps are mostly from the1950s, the chandeliers in the kitchen are from a clothing factory in France dating back to 1930s"

I love the space. The high ceilings and architectural details are to die for. So much potential.
