Reader's home - Dragana's apartment in Belgrade

Dragana sent photos of her apartment in Belgrade that I wanted to share. She has created a lovely bright space in what seems like pretty cramped quarters. "I was in Amsterdam this year. Wandering through streets of Amsterdam, i found the inspiration to adapt my flat in Belgrade size 51m2, which had been totally ruined. I furnished it with the furniture, mostly white and straight lines."

Really cool home. I like the wallpaper feature in the main living area and the way the coffee tables are layered.

Dragana, it's perfect. Bold yet sophisticated walls, pared down and well-chosen furnishings; the sense of peace contained is so strong! I just have to rave about the bedrooms - you made the limited space into a positive, and I love the deco. It's a place you can mess up a bit, and the balance will still be there. Congratulations, I'm so very jealous!

This confirms my recent suspicion that I need more blue in my home! It's absolutely stunning. I have a little trouble with the camera lens, it kind of hurts my eyes, so would like to see it photographed straight. But the place is gorgeous nonetheless.

Great use of space, perhaps next year you should enter your home in the apartment therapy small cool contest which was on in April, I think that yours is a clear winner.

Our flat in Hungary is same size but yours is so much more efficiently used :)

May I know if that is faux brick wall? Do you have a blog that I can follow?

I don't like it, it is too much of everything trendy what means next year everyting is so out. This furniture you see in every furniture shop in the city. "Stone" walls are now also extremly "in" in this region. Mosaic again very trendy (trendy things tend to be very fast very out).
In the hall wallpaper AND stone like - couldn't make up my mind.
I like the couch in the small room.
Sorry but the overall impression is not good.

If you think about the situation in Belgrade properly this apartment is great (flat in Belgrade size 51m2, which had been totally ruined) and is totally different than all the posted apartment in this or other blogs. What is so nice about this is that it is furniture you are able to afford and buy in every shop in the city.
Dragana, the apartment is great!

The furniture, except beds and chairs, was not bought in the shop. A joinery workshop made it according to my drafts. I sewed all of the pillowcases on my own. As for the ragged blue and yellow ones, i knitted those. I sewed curtains as well. Frames are old, bought on an auction site, and I painted them.

Dragana, this is a gorgeous room and you've done a spectacular job. Do you happen to have any information about that beautiful teal wallpaper? If you can find out anythng about it, where it came from, what is it called, etc, I'd love to know. It's exactly what I'm looking for. Thank you so much.
