Reader's home - Lucyna's home in Poland

I have a FABULOUS reader's home to share with you today. I adore this one. Dark and dramatic and edgy. And that concrete wall! YESSSSS!

My name is Lucyna Kolodziejska and i am an interior designer from Poland, Gdansk. My web site: www.fabrykawnetrz-fw.pl This is my flat, i live there with my husband Jarek, dog Pele and daughter Nathalie. It is 300 metres by the seaside. I design mostly apartments for private investors, I like to connect old things (etc. doors, old polish oak floor) with new design, also like to connecting very decorative elements with primitive concrete. As you see this in my apartment. (Photos: www.agencjanegatywna.com)

I adore the contrasts of this interior- those mod dining chairs with that ball and claw table are poetic !

I am in love with your flat, it is dramatic, elegant, calm...I could live there!

Beautiful place! I love the contrast between dark and light, old and new, the rough concrete walls (absolutely love them) and glamorous wallpaper, etc. I adore the kitchen, with a special mention to the splashback (medium grey subway tiles - wonderful choice for this space) and great choice of light fittings. The bathroom is not of my liking ( a little too "commercial" for me - it could be the wet room of a nightclub or trendy bar) but it is well done too. The only two little things that "bother" me are the rug in the lounge, which I found too small for the space and not the right size for the couch, and the dining table which is a little too big for the room, and the fact that it's pushed against the wall is a little awkward... I know, I'm very picky... Well done, Lucyna!

Well, the bathroom impresses me! And the bed cover is gorgeous. The balance of old wood against mod lighting, bauhaus industrial against soft curves and ancient wallpaper prints, is perfect. Your color choices are darkly dynamic, which is very hard to achieve without wandering into ponderous - it's a beautiful place.

LOVE this house - everything about it. Excellent use of black and texture. The wallpaper is awesome, as well as that tile splashback.

I really need to know what those chairs are!
We've just got a huge new dining table (2.7m solid Jarrah, trestle style) and we're on the hunt for chairs. The current choice is the Eames Eiffel but everyone seems to have those. Would really like something a bit more unusual. These would fit the bill nicely.

it is true concrete wall - 4cm thickness - made for my by my building team. The concrete ceiling is construction of the building. Thank you for your nice opinion :-)
