Minimalist staircase

Apartment in Paris by École and photography by Xavier Lucas. Lean and mean. Are you keen?

5 ... 4 ... 3 ... 2 ... 1 ... Let the outcry re safety, children, drunk in the middle of the night and building code begin ;)

I love this but would be constantly petrified I'd fall off the edge

Beautiful, but as a usually sober adult, I would be too terrified to get past the first step.

Wow, looks amazing & scary at the same time!

warning: must weigh under 100 lbs. to use stairs.

OMG up here in Canada where we have building codes, your insurance broker would LAUGH IN YOUR FACE if you tried to get away with this.

Would go well with my spike-studded (pointy ends out) easy chair.

I call them suicide stairs. And dream of inviting my MIL upstairs. /jk!/

Looks great though, beautifully executed. Good on them for getting away with it. I'd quite like to try them maybe they aren't as scary as they look

Wow! Looks great!!!...and slightly dangerous....

Those stairs scare me. I mean just looking at that, my heart begins to race. I would be totally freaked out.

all it needs is one little light translucent handrail on the wall. without that, it's just stupid.

*gulp* They scare me, a lot. I suffer from acrophobia (fear of heights) and those stairs would be the death of me. They're pretty cool and neat... in pictures.

Definitely a hands-and-knees job! They look stunning though

15 Mar 2012 | Unregistered CommenterGeorgina

Looks cool! I'd be so concerned with trying not to fall off that I'd end up not watching where I was walking and would fall off.

Love this! As a person who lives in a house with 4 flights of stairs, I would have no problem living here. Or perhaps i just like living on the edge....

It is very cool, very chic, but I'll admit, no way would you find something like that in my house. Scare-ee!

16 Mar 2012 | Unregistered CommenterMid Mod Tom

I like the clean look, but I would totally fall off!
