Ashli Mizell encore
New work from Philadelphia based interior designer Ashli Mizell. I love the rustic look of the tiles against the marble and cabinets. It's rough vs smooth, modern trad with a twist of ethnic. A clash of tiles reminiscent of the pattern riots of the riad plays with the calm of the white while smoky hues play with earthy oranges. A hint of Morocco. It's the layering that comes through in Ashli's designs. Pattern on pattern, texture on texture. Rustic on the modern. (Original post on Ashli Mizell here.)

I love EVERYTHING about this kitchen. Beautiful, perfect.
I love the floor tiles. Wonder which brand they are .... Amazing design
Tiles are wonderful. Interesting where one can get it from? Aren't they old?
I am with you all the way on this - the combination between rustic and modern, smooth and textured, coloured and neutral is perfection.
This kitchen is stunning but it also really feels like it is a kitchen that people can use and feels like it is a warm home kitchen.
Great post Jo, thanks!
ooooh! Great job jo...love this liveable kitchen very much!
The tiles are fantastic! I carry that collection in my studio should anyone want to see in person http://www.filmoreclark.com/
Gorgeous!
Dont love the kitchen but I am OBSESSED with the tile. Incredible!
Love this backsplash! My favorite!
I love this post! To me the combination of pattern and rustic elements, Moroccan accents and clean white backdrop is so modern. Gorgeous!
I am not to impressed with using two 9" cabinets to the right of the range instead of a single 18" cabinet . It looks unbalanced and not a very good use of space.
Re: those 9" cabinets...the one on the far right is for baking sheets, large cutting boards, etc. The two 9" cabinets directly on the right and left of the range are pull out shelves containing spices, oils, cooking sauces, vinegars.
Looove this! The tile, the dining nook, sink, the asymmetry......drool.
