Happy Thanksgiving fellow Canadians! Hope you're all stuffed with turkey and all the fixins (or going to be tonight). I sure am. I'm thinking we should have Thanksgiving monthly. :) Anyhoo, I have tons of blogging and fall chores to do today as temperatures have dropped by about 30 degrees from last week (AAAGGGHHH!!!) and I'm sitting here in my really badly insulated home office with frozen hands trying to type. That's on my chore list - getting my smaller desk out of the basement and setting up shop in the living room where I won't freeze my ass off. Growing fond of artwork arranged in tight clusters, such as the first and third photos. Seems easy too -- determine the arrangement on the floor first, and then all you need to do is strategically affix one item on the wall, which anchors placement of the rest. No need to painstakingly figure out horizontal center lines, measure between pieces and futz.
Pretty sure the artwork is actually a photograph by Australian photographer Bill Henson. His work is truly amazing and inspiring. What I wouldn't give for an original print!
I love the olive tones in the living room - makes it look very earthy and relaxing.
I really like the artwork ensemble with the dining table. The bench and loungy cushions against the wall and the eclectic mix of chairs is also really inviting. I could eat and work there myself.
Love colors in the first image. Excellent combination!!
