Stone and concrete are warmed with wood accents. Walls slide back blurring boundaries. Multiple living areas welcome social interactions whether cosy conversations or large parties. The hub is the kitchen with family life spreading out to greet the outdoor spaces. Yes we all know we want to call up our friends, mix the drinks and have plenty of towels on hand for when we climb out of the pool. A sense of casual sophistication. Easy going but stylish. A trophy house? Yes but you deserve it. The latest home by SAOTA – Stefan Antoni Olmesdahl Truen Architects and Three14 Architects in Higgovale, Cape Town.

The only thing this is missing to make it perfect is a service elevator. I think all houses with multiple levels should have a service elevator to move furniture or in case someone has mobility problems.
