Messana O'Rorke

It's been ages since we've featured Messana O'Rorke Architects (here and here) and I figured it was time for another go, especially since I already have architects on the brain (meeting with architect #3 for our house plans went well Tuesday morning - except we discovered we can't afford him. Bummed beyond belief). Maybe this super talented New York firm wants to whip me up some drawings? ;)

SIMPLY GREAT! WONDERFUL!

Beautiful. The first kitchen in particular, so simple and stunning. The bathroom is a little to minimal with the bare bulb and cement floor, but I like it.

Everything is lovely, but I really love the thick wood block staircase with the metal balustrade. The first kitchen is also inspiring as I am thinking about using marble and walnut in my en suite bathroom. Thanks for sharing!

You know, I love the flooring choices in every application! The first is my favourite. These guys create really welcoming, but totally posh, spaces. Great find!

Would you not think of designing your own house Kim? I have been doing that for years(haven't built it!) but one thing I learned, copycatting is plagarism, cherry-picking the features I want is 'research'!

TR, we have a general idea of what we want and have come up with some rough drawings of a couple variations. We need an architect to confirm that what we want is feasible (kind of did that already), give suggestions for improvement, and draw up the plans we need to submit to the city and what will be needed for the construction phase.
