Buy my stuff!!!
About a month ago my twin sister and I carted a crapload of stuff over to our parent's house and all of us had a big garage sale. It was a complete bust. Unfortunately my husband forgot to put up ads online so all we had were a few signs on the road. I think we sold $50. We're attempting another garage sale this Saturday from 8-2 so anyone in the Ottawa area MUST come out and BUY MY CRAP! I'm selling just about everything I own as I'm tired of it all and am going a completely different route whenever the house gets done and we can redecorate. (On a side note, here is a little sample of how disastrous this whole project has been going. We received an email yesterday morning, about 6 weeks after our plans were submitted to the city for permits, that because our house is approx. 100 ft from the highway, our project requires approval from the Ministry of Transportation. WTF?!?!) Alot of the items are still in my parents' garage, and I have a bunch of stuff buried in my basement that I also would part with. Here is a sampling...(and there are more photos on my page, including the ad from usedottawa.com with details).

Ooh! How much for the bench with kitties not included? We're in the Ottawa area, and I totally want it!
Woohoo! I'll be there with bells on! My partner and I are moving into our first place together on October 1 and we don't have nary an ottoman to speak of between the two of us.
See you Saturday!
Seriously, would you consider shipping anything to Toronto? I'm drooling over half the items you've posted, and we are about to undergo a major reno...
Those pillows are cushion are super cute!! Love the colors! And the cats!! :)
Your "crap" looks like it belongs in a museum. Are you sure you posted the right pictures? You want to part with these treasures??? Too bad I live in Dallas or I would bring a truck to your sale. Good luck!
I'm totally in love with the yellow molded plastic Eames, willing to drive up from Toronto to pick that baby up! I've sent you an email, please hold on to it for me if you can!
I have a good friend who lives in Ottawa AND is moving into a new apartment this week. I will send her this post, I think some of these things would be great for her.
Nicole, I answered an email already about the bench so there's some competition. Flip me an email for details pls.
Renee, if there are particular items you may want (from this post and tomorrows) let me know because some of this stuff is at my house and the sale is at my parent's place.
I answered Lisa's question in an email already but to note, sorry folks but I am not shipping any of this stuff.
Britt, I may be willing to sell a cat. (I kid)
Thanks Sarah!
I just answered an email from Beth, and am holding the Eames chair for her so it's officially off the market.
:-) thanks Sherrod!
What a fantastic sale it will be, I would love to stumble on a sale like yours in my part of the world....I hope your not parting with the German vases on your side table, they are so good.
Kim,
I can think of two kitties who would object to your selling the green settee! I hope you are saving some stuff with their scent on it for them, besides it's kind of nice (at least they think so!)
I want all of it - shame you don't ship (but then again to Denmark - would cost the world:)
Good luck this time and have a sunny day.
Axxx
Hmmm, I wonder where you got the idea for Pets on Fiurniture?
That bench looks like it was customed designed for those sweeties.
that's some groovy stuff! I wish i could drop by!
psst! i think you mean: our parents' (i do love me some correctly placed apostrophes). also, can you mail me that yellow and green chair? please? thanks.
eeek! fixed! thanks anon! and uhhh.... no :)
The Ministry of Transportation?! That's just heinous ...
Man, I REALLY wish I lived near Ottawa because some of your stuff looks RAD, but it would be quite a trip from California :)
Also, I totally sympathize about the permit situation - I worked for a Design/Build firm for a couple of years, and was responsible for obtaining the permits for all of our clients - it was a real nightmare sometimes! Hopefully the rest of the process goes smoother for you!
I wish I lived closer! But I don't think you are sending items to Spain, do you? ;D A pity because I love some of your things. Maybe any other time. Thanks anyway for your work in this amazing web!
Sorry, no shipping.
What about shipping to Italy? I can't find anything like that over here. Gorgeous stuff!!
Keep that little green vase with multiple openings, it's in the last pic in the set.
Can't imagine selling that little beauty, I think you might regret that one.
Has it ever had an arrangement in it?
Imagine it with very tall branches or even big luscious gardenias in it.
I'm excited to see what you replace this stuff with!
I'd love to have the yellow Eames but live too far way. Good luck:)
Selling so much of your stuff, what is the new direction that you'll take with the reno'ed housE?? :)
I'm thinking the new house will be grey/black/white, maybe with a fluro piece here and there. And less thrifted "crap". I want me some grownup furniture.
If you lived in Vancouver, I would buy most of yours things! Loved your vase collection! I'm a bit obsessed with vases right now. I also like your chairs.
