Love? Hate?

I have had this apartment stored in my "blog this" folder for ages and for some reason haven't bothered blogging it yet. When I found it last night I could not figure out if I love it or hate it. A bit too modern? Maybe. I don't know how annoying it would be to have your living room facing the kitchen lengthwise like that. Some of the furniture, accessories and artwork is really not doing anything for me. The wraparound curtains in the bedroom (and a bit in the living room) are driving me insane. So are all those odd little rectangular potlights. I do love the kitchen (where's the fridge??), the bathroom, the fireplace, the hardwood floors, the GLASS! FLOOR!, the staircase, and the soaring ceilings. (Via Per Jansson Fastighetsförmedling AB)

LOVE! Amazing. I love the fireplace

Was there a sale on potlights or something? That kitchen looks unfinished, like the island is missing. I'm guessing the fridge is around the other corner, like the oven is. No counter space to speak of. Not for me. Doesn't seem all that functional really. Probably a great place to film a movie or tv series though, plenty of light and not a lot of walls to get in the way.

The fridge and freezer are just to the left of the sink. They are drawer style, and are totally awsome! You can check some out here http://www.calibex.com/Refrigerator-Drawers/zzcalibex2zB1z0--search-html?nxtg=19320a280507-E7117D6020B35F6E
As far as the place goes it could be fantastic if I lived there, personnally I would move the dining room to the living room by the kitchen convienent and practical. Then the living room would have that lovely fire place. Re-do the lighting and ditch the curtains for electric shades that disapear into the ceilings when not being used, then it would be perfect.

I love this. Glass floors are an issue for all of us who wear skirts though!

I would swap the dining room and living room areas.

I would kill myself tripping over the bath tub. Otherwise it photographs beautifully! Heaps of features to ogle - fireplaaaaace!

Perhaps better set for a George Clooney movie than comfy home.... Maybe there could be an action sequence where those bedside lamps die?

Glass floor would totally freak me out, otherwise I love the place!

I like the isolated items but once it comes together has no harmony!
I love the way the color black was used together with mirrors and glass.
The Kitchen is amazing on it's own but I belived it wasnt places well...

Me Likey!!! Yea make sure you wear underwears at all time with that glass floor. Yikes.

I can only imagine that the person who lives here is the mistress of a mob capo. She spends a lot of time doing coke, fixing her hair and trying on outfits. There's no need for a functional kitchen as she doesn't cook (or eat). The glass floor is great for parties, and since she used to be a stripper and most of her friends are hookers, the upskirt view is not an issue. There's no room for personal items or books, which is just fine since she doesn't own any.

Too many reflective surfaces, harsh whiteness and angles - no place for the eye to rest - oh wait, there's the buddha statue!

Oh my goodness, Christa's comment made me burst out laughing! I must agree. Although it's an absolutely gorgeous space, it feels more like a lux hotel than a home

This is just trying way too hard, those curtains make my stomach turn, yuk. The living and dining should definitely switch. Love the glass floor, have to upgrade undies collection tho.

hate. it is so cold & antiseptic. (sorry I mean that in the best possible way)

LOVE!

The soaring ceilings,
the interesting angles,
the modern furniture mixed with artwork,
the pops of colour
and sooooo much light!
:)

I 'hate' the kitchen, it's just for show.... This is a beautiful apartment and I think it's well finished. However it is totally impractical. Sorry.... :-)

It's a little too self-conscious, trying to hard to be hip. I do love the staircase though.

Kim, I've been enjoying the over the top posts of the last few days. Keep 'em coming!

Hate the living room, love the kitchen.
Love the stairs but oddly hate the balustrade.
Hate the lighting but love the bedroom drapery.
And that glass floor gives me vertigo just looking at it.

PS. Perhaps a hidden bar fridge in those lower kitchen cabinets?

could take it or leave it. like I wouldn't mind renting it for a week of vacation but I don't know if I'd want to live there for longer... I'd start rearranging things, adding things and planning renovations.

25 Aug 2011 | Unregistered Commenterdanimal

PS I'd keep the glass floors, my underwear collection is fit for display.

PPS I am WAY too messy in the kitchen to have leather so close by

25 Aug 2011 | Unregistered Commenterdanimal

i think they misplaced the dining room and living room... you're right, something doesn't make sense!

25 Aug 2011 | Unregistered Commentergab

There is no way I could step foot upstairs with those glass floors! I think they are beautiful to behold, but I would be a total wreck and have to be drugged to live there.
