Something old, something new

I have another Shoot Factory location home in London for you all today. This time it's a wonderful juxtaposition of old and new. A stone house that looks to be about 200 years old filled with modern and mid century furnishings makes for an funky and eclectic space. Love the floors and retro trailer in the yard.

You had me at the AGA, and the supremely livable kitchen... I can't even fantasize about an AGA where I live now!

The trailer in the back is the most original, adorable idea I have seen in 4ever!

That stove was great. This whole thing is great. I love the "spare bedroom/living room" in the old school trailer in the yard!

Wow! Love this house, especially those ceilings. And the trailer in the yard - I've been on the lookout for a vintage tin trailer to redo. . .Thanks!

I would kill for that stove and I don't even like cooking!

wow always thought low ceilings could make a room feel really stuffy. But this proved me wrong. White ceiling, a dull light wall colour and lotsa light seems to do the trick? love it

Can I just escape there and never come back?

Hello Lisa Skye...

LOVE - is a needlepoint wall hanging designed by Paul Smith for the The Rug Company...

I hope this helps!

Michael, thank you! I knew I had seen that before and fallen it love with it the first time...! Is it possible it is hanging in the Paul Smith store in NYC on 5th Avenue? Thanks again...

the subtle contrast of textures (clean subway tiles, 'irregular plaster' (?) ceiling) is too sensuous. amazing space!
