Reader's home - Javier's holiday home in Spain
Back in May of last year I blogged the Spanish home of interior designer and artist Javier Requejo. To my delight he emailed the other day with photos of his holiday home in Ourense, 15 minutes outside Galacia, Spain (where his primary residence is). It has the same rustic charm as his other home but this one is filled with even more of Javier's creativity and colour. And he even has some pets strategically placed in a couple of the following photos which always does it for me.

Definitely an artists eye taking the pictures, minus the rigid styling for most interior design shots. Loved it. Love the space, exactly the kind of home I like to be in.
Wow. So nice. I liked the bathroom sink a lot. The pets were adorable as well.
I suspect I need a holiday home.
This place is perfection. Exactly where I would like to spend my time.

Since he has two homes, maybe he wouldn't mind me crashing in this one! I love it!!
This house makes me feel like home. I like it very much.
The hammock sealed the deal for me: fantastic design, very Mediterranean-looking (in the best way possible). Good job Javier!
What a wonderful home! It´s my dream house! =) I love it
It's a wonderful house. I love it!
yes please.
I'm loving all those colorful chairs! What a lovely home. :)
Who has a holiday home that's only 15 minutes from his actual home? That's just ridiculous.
Love the paper mache steer head in the entry way. Clever.

This home is the holiday home of my family. the other house it´s more small and I live there.
Thank you very much for all coments, and for the article.
Beautiful home, Javier! I am Galician too, so I can deeply admire what you've done with this aldea house.
Many of us Spaniards have a holiday home very close to our first home. That's because we live in really small flats in town with no garden, balcony or swimming pool... So we usually try to get a house close enough to go on we and holidays.
Perfect! What a beautiful departure from the very boring status-conscious perfection attempts in interior design.
This is too awesome to be a holiday home. I hope you dont mind me crashing in aswell
OMG what a house!! this old houses in that part of spain are amazing, i like the fact that he has decorated in a very distintive way nothing like the other house sin the are, very nice and gorgeous mix of furniture and textiles.
Dans la pièce aux têtes d'animaux blanches, il faudrait enlever le cadre noir et aussi la niche, ce serait plus sympa.
Lindo lugar! Parece mágico!
Wow! I live in Galicia as well but I didn`t know it....
I will fight for a coffee in this place...
by the way, love this blog!!!!!
