Interior designer Craig Kettles of C designs can take a really crummy house and turn it into a comfortable and timeless space - there are before and afters on his website that are quite impressive. And his kitchens, with a bit of country charm, are fantastic (LOVE the industrial lighting he seems to use quite often).

That second picture is great of that dining room with the red accents and that red chair thrown in, creates are really great atmosphere. I also love the use of the wood paneled ceilings painted in white, I think that is what gives the spaces that country vibe. Great images!

i stumbled upon the nautical inspired stairwell with the boat cleats & rope on pinterest at the beginning of the summer and loved it so much, my husband and i recreated the look in our house! we'll never be able to sell the house like that, but the feel of the openness and the compliments we've received are so worth it!
