Simple Swedish summer house
Remember those simple summer holidays? The ones where you packed up the car with all the essentials and just a few little luxuries and made the trek to your holiday spot. Year after year your family always stayed at the same cottage or shack. Simple, basic but oh so special. Days were spent lazing about, swimming or hiking, winding down and enjoying the slow life. I do and I wish I had been able to spend my summer days in a house in the woods like this one in Sweden. Simple but stylish, nothing that isn't necessary and just enough to enjoy your stay comfortably. From water to couch in your still damp swimmers. Picking herbs for lunch from the overgrown patch by the back door. Cooking up a storm and relaxing afterwards with a good book or good friends. Bliss. This lovely summer house belongs to Swedish stylist Mikael Beckman. Unfortunately it is time for him to say goodbye to it and he is selling. Maybe a group of us can pool our pennies and buy it. simply beautiful..what a gorgeous setting! thanks for sharing, Jo..have a lovely day! xx meenal
Its funny, the outside and sauna look so warm and inviting yet the inside is quite cold and uninviting. I would lover to get my hands on this place xx
I'm in for $100 .. will that be enough???
They mop their floors twice a day over there, don't they... those long summer days.
I'd love a holiday like that. Sounds wonderful!
I think it works out to only about $A260 000 actually!
I can already see myself sitting on the couch in my pajamas with a great book, walking barefoot to the kitchen for a drink, and on a hot summer day running to jump in the lake.
beautifully fresh and calm. great photos... not quite sure I could live there though. And, really, not sure about the white painted floorboards in real life. perfect eye candy though.
Simply stunning. When can I move in! :-)
What a beautiful home. We love the Shaker-like simplicity to the white interior and the warmth added from touches of natural wood. Thanks for sharing!
Nice location but so much white...really! That single bedroom with two beds looks like a hospital room.
wonderful ...
