Sandra's home update

Here is the second of today's reader's homes. It's an update of Sandra's home decorating projects. (We featured her chair redo, dining room and den previously). She's completed her biggest task - sorting out the living room. I really admire Sandra's eclectic and global vibe - right up my alley. Enjoy and have a great weekend!

Wow, that brass/bronze drum shaped stand, under the pothos plant, is fantastic! I wish I could see it up close. What is it's country of origin? What is it? Is it just a decorative table/stand/garden stool or was it meant to have a function? Does it open for storage of some sort? Yes, I am quite taken with it. It caught my eye and won't let go!

Thanks all. The couch was custom made. I found some photos of that couch done in a gorgeous linen on a blog & had it made locally out of pet friendly faux leather (for less than most retail stores charge). The brass drum is from a thrift store & it was made in Japan. -Sandra

Wow ... i love the decor ... so much character. i especially love the dining area, the yellow shade pendant light. By the way, the chinese character printed on the wooden serving tray besides the oriental vase ? it's " 花 ", which means flower ....

What a beautiful home! I am enjoying global more and more. I especially love the wall of black and white curtains with the mirror and dresser in front of them.

I love this! Especially the black and white chevron curtains. Could you please tell me where you found them, or where you found the fabric to make them :P Thanks

Jess, I got the fabric for the curtains (Premier Prints Zig Zag Village) for a great price @ fabricguru.com. They have it in lots of different colors.
