Baker Kavanagh Architects

Baker Kavanagh Architects are a firm focused on creating architecture of honesty, imagination and integrity. Their heritage refurbishments have an optimism, are a delight. Wells Street is an exclusive residential development in Redfern on the edge of Sydney's CBD, consisting of a house, three contemporary terraces and the refurbishment of three heritage terraces. No stuffy refurb here. There is almost a sense of joy, a celebration of houses reborn, streetscapes renewed. Tomorrow I'll post an amazing church conversion that Baker Kavanagh Architects have shared.

I love this. It's something I would expect to feel "cold" but instead it seems warm, inviting, and open.

I really love how they've designed the inside. Creative, but functional. Very pretty.

Industrial but certainly not cold...i love how the glass panels on the floor create an illusion of water...thanks for sharing..xx meenal

Love this! Warm and open at the same time. Everything they did with the stairs is perfect!

I also love this house. I am renovating a beach house and want a "parsons" island in the kitchen just like that but the designer and kitchen person are talking me out of it sayng it will stain chip and need lots of maintenence. I am curioius what the experience of the owner is.

I love the concrete look, its industrial yet softer than stone.

Any opinions out there?
