CKR

Those Swedes are some talented folks let me tell ya! The trio behind architecture and design firm Claesson Koivisto Rune are at it again (Jo featured them here) with many more minimalist projects. Spaces like these reeeeeeally make me want to get rid of all my crap and enjoy some sparseness.

oh those swedes are good at design. the open and airy feel appeals to my need to have everything up, off the floor. even the wood burning fireplace is up, floating in air, with a cement pad below. so practical. and the green rug under the dining table adds a great pop of color and still feeling like a natural accessory, like grass. and i love all the outdoor spaces and alcoves around the house with a simple little chair. thanks for the inspiration!

Perfect!

You should consider something like the last photo for your new house.
You could have hidden sliding doors so your cats could have their own patio.

You could create a mini version of this patio designed by architect A. Quincy Jones and interior designer Billy Haines.
Possibly even work an outdoor fireplace in like they did in the link below.

Just a thought :)
