Magdalena Keck

White, bright and not a Scandinavian in sight. Interior designer Magdalena Keck hails from New York but her work turns its back on the Big Apple glam and looks inwards to hearth and home. It's clean lined, simple but well considered. Her colour palette is restrained but all the better to provide respite from the bustle and clash of everyday New York life like this Greenwich Village pied à terre, a wonderful retreat.

I love the apparent simplicity of the rooms but the natural textures and carefully considered pieces of furniture make them so interesting.

So lovely! What a respite from the overwhelming (but amazing!) pace of daily life in NYC. I am dying over that gold organic form coffee table!

la table est magnifique mais le stratifié ne supporte pas la comparaison avec cette magnifique table mais il passe très bien dans toutes les autres pièces.

really like this space, just proves that white walls don-t have to look cold at all, all over very clean very fresh spaces,
very elegant and probably looks even better when you actually stand in that apartment, years ago when clients asked
me which colour to choose for their homes i wouldn-t have dreamt about saying white, plain and simple,
nowadays there is a strong tendency to clean all the clutter and leave spaces just as simple as possible, really love it

gorgeous calm place, although i find the white books tossed on top of the bed to be a ridiculous affectation. the rest can stay, though.

This is a lovely example of white done right. Although it looks staged for these shots, it also looks like they made a fresh and calming retreat out of a small, slightly awkward flat. The white brick and natural (pine?) floors together are divine.

"not a scandinavian in sight".... the white chairs look very much like by verner panton to me, or?
