Joe Schmelzer and a fine day
I'm easing back in with a photographer we really love at D2I, Joe Schmelzer. (See earlier posts here and here.) Yesterday when things were grim I promised to post something pretty today but Joe doesn't do pretty. He does pretty fab! Enjoy!
I want to thank everyone for their kind words and wave of support. You had me tearing up. The water is dropping and the first stage of the disaster is almost over. Now the hard work begins. Cleaning, rebuilding, healing. We'll get there but it will take time. Yes we'll get there.

really fab! and fab is to see you here today... have a nice day, Jo!
Saw the first two images and let out an audible moan. Totally involuntary. Scared the dogs.
Thanks for the beautiful photos. most will go straight to my inspiration files. Thinking of all the affected families and sending them my good wishes
What sophistication , I love the living wall idea, especially how they have turned it into shelving. so unusual. Happy new year to you! x
I love how fresh everything looks. So clean.. I'm obsessed.

I'm so glad to hear that you are well. My prayers are with you.
It's wonderful to have you posting. Keeping you, yours, and all of Queensland in my thoughts throughout the news of devastation. Hugs from Canada.
Really love his work and so grateful that you're holding up okay. Will be keeping you in my prayers. xo

Hi Jo, thanks for posting these lovely shots. Over the Tasman we are all watching the drama unfold in disbelief and our kiwi hearts and thoughts are with you all. Sam
The 3rd photo is simply perfection! Such a crisp photo taken from a nice and simple angle. I love the interior too: craving that bird ornament.
The first and third picture are so lovely. They also look very familiar, like I have seen them in a magazine.
gorgeous! i reposted the first image to my blog.... i'm obsessed with that tree print!! is there any way to find out what it is??
There's probably at least one detail that I love in each photo: a framed image, a wall ornament, a rug, etc. Each room has its very own bit of character.
