Mel Yates
How about a power house of photography today? How about a guy that consistently snaps fabulous hard core room porn pics that are guaranteed to feed our addiction? I can't believe we haven't featured Mel Yates before. You'll know his work. Think Abigail Ahern, Kelly Hoppen and Graham & Brown, editorial work for House & Garden, Living Etc and Elle Decoration. It's a passion and it shows! P.S. For probably the most over the top room ever on Desire to Inspire you'll have to wait until after the jump.

I was waiting.... waiting.... enjoying every quirky detail until I came to IT! The OTT room you mentioned - the one with the stuffed giraffe. Wow that takes some kind of guts. Great post :)
Aaaahh, I could look at these images over and over again and not get enough. Details, highlights, colours - so so stunning!
Loving every single picture of every room....can't get enough!
Wow... Especially love that feature wall with the typeface letters and the ostrich hall table, anyone know what that is??
I want to go to the dinner party in that last image!
Pheasant under glass, anyone?

You can watch me fall off the stairs if I end up in the statue room, and get to live there. Wow. Some photographers get all the luck. Look at this stuff! From chair to lamp to sprawl of dog, everything is perfect, in its own way. I have to admit, it's the picture of the neon strip illuminating the glorious wrec kage if a house that I like the most. -- I love the glow captured behind the door. Although the empty picture hook *between* two circles of faded paint intrigues me! And I'm more determined than ever to find something to paint celedon.
Lovely inspirational pictures. Please could you tell me what type trees are planted near the hydrangeas? Many thanks
Sorry Dawn (et al.), we don't know the details of what was used in these designs
