Dragging my feet stalking

I'm exhausted. Exhausted but excited! But first things first. Isn't this the cutest sandstone cottage? A mix of traditional 1880 house and contemporary refurbishment. I'm stalking in Paddington in Sydney so no need to ask the price because 99.998% of us won't be able to afford it! Still we can dream. (Link here while it lasts.)

And the reason for my excitement? We signed on a house today! 1860 brick and cedar two storey house with original brick separate kitchen. Four fireplaces, well two in the main rooms, one in the kitchen with a wood burning stove and a tiny one in the tiny stables at the back. I have dozens of photos. Let's call them the befores as there is a lot of work to do but I still have to upload them and I'm exhausted, physically and emotionally. In a good way of course. I'll let you know when I have the photos done. I'll even bore you with them on my page. Need a scotch and to put my feet up. Enjoy this house instead because at the moment mine is no where near as grand :)

Ok I'm in love with this house! The living room and kitchen are the exact right blend of white and airy without being too minimalist and glaringly white! And I love the pic at the top of the stairs with the skylights and the wall of photos (5th last)...mmmmm. Want.

Thought you might like to know that this is the home of fashion designer Collette Dinnigan. She's decided to sell this newly-renovated home and move back to her multi-million dollar property, also in Paddington. Two lovely homes to choose from - what a dilemma! Congrats on your new home - how exciting for you! K

That's a stunning house. I love everything everyone else says but what stands out to me are the floorboards. Love their colour and width. Pruxxx

Looks like a perfect summer place :)

CONGRATS buddy!!! I am SOOOOO freaking excited for you. I cannot wait to see what you do with this new home of yours as you always have the best ideas. Now this means I better get moving and plan a little vacation in Australia to FINALLY meet you IN THE FLESH!

OK, the kitchen alone is worthy of its own opera! I cannot imagine how happy, no delirious, I would be to come downstairs to that kitchen every morning. It's such a great house. I'm so interested to see your pictures though. How exciting! Congratulations. A house is definitely a journey. Things are never "done" you know. AMAZING post. Thanks! xoxo

This is a beautiful home but the realtor photos can't possibly do it justice. Why do they insist on doing that overblown HDR thing now so that everything is super bright? This is a trend that I hope gets toned down so that my eyes don't hurt looking at outdoor shots.
Oh and congratulations on your new home! Can't wait to see how you decorate it.

Anyone know where to get a rug like the one in the 3rd photo? Or one that is similar? I've been craving a rug like that for my kitchen!
