A completely renovated first apartment

We received an email from Ron and it started off like this: "I'm 27 years old and live in Tel Aviv Israel, currently an industrial design student. Me and my girlfriend just bought our first apartment and decided to design it completely by ourselves." Now before I continue I have got to show you a few of the before photos.

And some info on what went on after they had their way with their new apartment:
"In short we re-did the whole place:
Tore down the wall in the kitchen opening it up to the living room and dining area.
United the the bathroom making one long and spacious bathroom
Made the bedroom bigger by closing a indoor balcony.
A bar that comes out of the wall.

I personally designed and built most of the items seen in the pictures:
Large wall clock
Floating unit below the tv
round table and red chairs
table, pipe lamp and the cats playing area which is hung in the red room
faucet in the bathroom
wooden bar
lights in the living room (with red cords)
bed and side table in bedroom.
"

I cannot even put into words how in awe I am of Ron's talent. Seriously. This apartment is FULL of creative and such well-executed items. See for yourselves. (I told him I may steal the cat play area idea). Check out his website HERE.

And SO MUCH MORE after the jump.

It was love at first sight! With so many great design elements to peruse I have to say the wall clock captured my attention immediately. In the close up shot I realized that each clock was set to the time that it's placement represented and was utterly delighted. Whimsy at its finest. Also loved the pipe fittings lamp. What a great idea.

I love the deep green paint in the bedroom. Usually dark colors make the room seem smaller, but it's beautiful with the hardwood floor color !

I loved the renovation but that green bedroom no its way to dark...love that towel rail and tap great design feature!

Oh my! I am an industrial design student, too, but I am really impressed; working in small spaces requires a lot of ability
Congrats on the new apartment :)

Wow - you did a really great job. I love the personal touches you added (like the cat) to warm things up. It's creative, innovative. colorful and fun! A job both aesthetically pleasing and obviously functional for you - hats off!!!

Exquisite Design Features!!! You guys did a magnificent job! You've made small spaces very functional and modern. Your colors are great also. Another option for the eating area would have been to expand the counter top and add two or three counter kitchen stools. I love it though.

I just will never like that ultra contemporary look. I didn't like it in the 50's and 60 years later, still don't. But the shelves where the cat is comfortable are beautifully done. I also like the small book nook in the dining 'space'. It could be a larger for the all work done, but if you want to maintain space that contrite...That dining table is just an eyesore, only big enough for coffee. Can't stand minimal space, I feel so comfort space, but some areas may be considered somewhat ethereal. The TV space and wall of clocks is genius.

I still wouldn't want to take a dump in that bathroom. NO legroom. They were able to do all that renovation, but anyone of normal size is going to be very cramped while pinching off a loaf.
