Comma:Daylesford

Jane Martino wanted to share a home with our readers that her husband (designer and artist Matt) crafted in Daylesford, Australia, and is available as a vacation rental. It's about an hour and a quarter from Melbourne, has the most spectacular views and the landscape is heavenly. This 4 bedroom home is set in the country but the interior has modern touches which make this space a perfect blend of old and new. Additional accommodation is available via the "Stables" which houses a four poster bed and freestanding bath; ideal as a luxury wedding suite or intimate couples retreat. (I'm getting married next month - I'll take it!!!) It's so perfectly designed - a nice bright white kitchen, a dark and moody sitting room, cozy bedrooms with country touches. If you want more details check out COMMA's website.

Love the paintings with the Yellow cars - I´m a carlover and has a couple of cars in my home decorations myself.

I love the romatic, sexy, bedroom, and I also can't wait to dig through The Captain's old oars in the barn and paint them yellow and orange and blue for a pop of color somewhere in the house. What a great idea? I don't think I'll ask first, just do it, right?

On a personal note, you're getting married next month. Congratulations, I can't believe you aren't bride blogging yet? I might get married next month, who knows, I have a standing invitation, just not quite.

Ooooh, I'm liking pretty much EVERYTHING about this place. So fresh and bright and comfy looking. It even has my favorite dining chairs around the table! Thank you for sharing. ;o)

I spent many summer holidays in Daylesford as a teenager
... things have certainly changed since then

The house looks gorgeous and inviting! Daylesford is a lovely place.

Love the kitchen! Can I please ask where they got the white lights from?

There is a spread of Jane and Matt's house in Madison magazine this month which looked great but there were not enough pictures as it's not really an interior/design mag....any chance we can see more pictures?

Thanks for posting more Aussie content!

just perfect, i can even look at apartment therapy anymore, desire to inspire is where it is at, and by 'it' i mean taste and intelligence over consumerism again and again and again as the only thing interior decor and design is about

Hi all,

Thank you for your great comments on Comma Daylesford. Most of the artwork is actually Matt's own, so I'm glad you like it!

Matt from Melbourne, the lights are from mud and there are more shots of the house at the photographer's website link below under Valley View.
